The Samsung Galaxy Note has been one of my favorite Android devices of all time, and now it looks like my favorite feature, the S-pen, will be getting extended functionality thanks to a slew of apps in Samsung “Premium Suite.”
If Android 4.0 is any bit as good on the Galaxy Note as it is on the Galaxy S II, I can fully expect this software update to be the biggest and best I have ever seen fro a Samsung phone. The current experience on Gingebread with the S-pen is superb, but I can’t wait to see the improvements to the interface combined with all these great new S-pen features:
Uh… pretty amazing if you ask me. Granted, the apps are simulated, but if these apps can deliver the same functionality at a more realistic speed I will be 100% sold–all tablets must now come with styli and come with dedicated applications to maximize productivity. Now keep in mind that Samsung was supposed to deliver Android 4.0 to the Galaxy Note Q1, but now it’s been pushed to Q2. At first I was disappointed that Samsung did not come through, however after seeing how much work has been put into this suite of S-pen applications, I think the Note’s update is well worth the wait.
What do you guys think–do you find yourselves using the S-pen a lot? Will this be worth the wait with rums of Android 5.0 Jelly Bean coming out in Q3? Comment us below! We’ll let you know as soon as we get the update!
