Samsung recently followed up it’s WP7 Focus with the newly minted Focus S, which comes equipped with Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 7 build, Mango. For those of you who have yet to convert or are just curious, you can give Mango a whirl on your Android phone with Microsoft’s browser-based WP7 demo:
If you’ve never had a chance to use a WP7 device, this little demo gives users a nice feel for the basic UI and layout. Although the app list is not live, you can click different tiles on the homescreen such as the calendar app and run through the demo and create events.
This somewhat functional emulator is a good way to showcase WP7’s attractive UI/colorway and can serve as a good practical joke when loaded up on a friend’s browser. However, if this demo has piqued your interest, you should visit your local AT&T store and check out the Samsung Focus S. Similar in appearance to Samsung’s current-gen 4G phones (read: Galaxy S II), the Focus S features a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, powered by a 1.4GHz single-core Qualcomm processor packaged in a very thin, .33 inch package.
Stay tuned for more updates with Windows Phone 7!
