The good folks at Samsung have presented us with a preview of the premium accessory suite for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 which includes a variety of docks, cases and adapters that will maximize your Tabin’ experience.
I think I’ coming down with a case of Tabin’ Fever!
Do yourself a favor and stop propping up your Tab on that improvised stand made of For Dummies books and coffee mugs. Get your hands on one of these awesome and proper docks for that glorious slate:
The first docking solution we see above is the desktop dock which affords the users a landscape view of the tablet while enabling charging, audio out via 3.5mm stereo line, and video out via the available HDMI adapter.
This sleek keyboard dock might actually encourage you to get some work done instead of playing Plants vs Zombies all day. Or it could just make you an incessant spam bot on Facebook and Twitter. In reality though this will be a great tool in the war against overflowing inboxes, on the go web browsing and research, as well as mobile blog content creation.
We know many of you will be using the Tab 10.1 while on-the-go and the looming fear of even a short drop can force us to convert these beauties to domestic devices.
Fear not, Samsung’s Book Cover Case fully encases all corners and sides in a protective cover while allowing quick access with just a flip of the case; did i mention it’s also a stand? The Book Cover Case’s non-slip feat allows you to quickly prop up your Tab while still in its case, affording the ergonomics of a stand and the protection of a case.
Why yes, the resolution does reflect its level of technology
If you inner luddite is berating you for owning such a miraculous piece of hardware, perhaps you can soothe the voices with Samsung’s Leather Pouch case for the Galaxy Tab 10.1. It’s made from soft black leather and provides a chic and stylish alternative to the transforming Book Cover Case.
With the slew of adapters included in this release, your Tab won’t have any problems becoming best friends with your HDTV, keyboards, mice, memory sticks or other peripherals.
With the addition of the HD extender functionality for Samsung’s Media Hub, we can finally output videos from our mobile devices to our televisions! The Galaxy Tab 10.1 also supports USB On-The-Go (OTG) functionality which allows for several new capabilities in addition to charging and data connection via USB. Although the Tab lacks integrated extended storage, OTG allows the user to use USB memory sticks and portable hard drives to expand the device’s memory. OTG allows this without any need for additional drivers.
These accessories as well as many others (Bluetooth keyboard anyone?), will be hitting store shelves come this summer so stay tuned!
