A comparison of the layout schemes between Android and Windows Phone 7

While there are many new videos showing all the features WP7 is bringing to the table, we thought we’d take a step back and look at the differences between the layouts of this newcomer and the behemoth that is Android.  In our video review (which is at the end of this article) we compare these themes in the IMDB app available for free on both respective markets.  We choose this app because it has many different sub menus and categories in addition to its ability to play videos.

As you’ll see Android has an always present menu you can access at any time and lays out features in the forms of buttons and iPod like choices whereas WP7 has different background themes based on current movies, more visuals, and the menu is only accessible by swiping until you reach it.  Another point of interest is the fact that you can search the IMDB app on Android at any time by pressing menu and then search while on WP7 its always accessible in the top right corner of each screen.

Enough babbling though, check out the video below for yourself and let us know which style of layout you’d rather use on a day to day basis in the comments below!

Unquestionably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the web the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people think about worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
