Android on Samsung Omnia II

Posted on Mar 18 2010 - 11:42am by Hansoo

We came across a video showing Android OS running on Samsung Omnia II (i8000) on Samsung HDbolg.

The project has been around for several months now and from the video you may notice they have ported Android 2.1 and uses the same intro screen as Nexus One.

Check out the video and share your thought!

Hi just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not
sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same results.

I am very intested on this, even though I am happy with current Omnia II-i920 & custom ROM WM 6.5.3

@Antonio. Samsung GT-B7300 has ARM 1176 667MHz processor while Omnia II does 800Mhz. However, it is certainly possible to port to the device.
